Chapter 06
Shopping lists
Combine recipes, scale purchasing quantities, compare quotes, and export a worksheet.
Shopping Lists turn recipe requirements into a purchasing worksheet tied to a real Price Book and currency.
Create a list
Start with a manual list or generate one from menus and selected recipes. When generating:
- choose the menu or recipes;
- set the scale/serving requirement;
- review aggregated ingredients;
- name the list for the service, event, or order date;
- confirm the Price Book.
Ingredients used by several recipes are combined where units can be reconciled safely.
Work through the worksheet
You can edit names, quantities, units, notes, completion state, and order. Use completion checks as an operational aid; they do not delete the item.
On mobile, open the focused item controls instead of trying to edit every field in a compressed row.
Compare vendor quotes
Each item can hold one or more vendor quotes. Review package size, normalized price, currency, and source. Selecting an active quote can synchronize that choice back to the ingredient catalog for the same Price Book.
Use Sourcing to quote the complete list when you need current market offers. Estimates are labeled and should not be treated as confirmed supplier prices.
Team sharing
A list can be shared with the team when your permissions allow it. Resource permissions and team membership still control access; copying a URL does not bypass them.
Export
Export the PDF after checking:
- project/Price Book;
- currency;
- quantities and units;
- selected vendors;
- completed items and notes.
The exported branding follows your plan.
